We always see an increase in athlete’s foot during the summer. Here are a few things you can do to head it off:
• Dry between your toes after swimming or bathing
• Wear shoes that allow your feet to breathe (leather, sandals).
• Wear cotton socks that absorb sweat.
• Change your socks twice a day.
• Use talcum or antifungal powder
• Air your shoes for 24 hours before wearing them again.
• After bathing, dry your groin area before your feet (athlete’s foot can easily become jock itch)
• Put your socks on before your underwear.
