Can An Injection
Make You Look 10 Years Younger?
Derma. Filler injections can make you look younger up to a year or more. Products like Radiesse and Juviderm work by restoring and stimulating collagen production and contouring a long-lasting gel around your facial structure. It is true — you can look years younger with just one painless injection.
How Do Dermal Fillers Work?
As you age, natural collagen breaks down, diminishing facial volume and elasticity, which results in wrinkles and facial lines. The dermal filler injection gives you an initial dose of collagen and then “fills in” areas of your mouth and nose with a smooth, long-lasting gel that gives your skin volume, flexibility and strength. It essentially binds the body’s natural elastin and collagen together, providing structure and stimulating growth of your own natural collagen. Studies show that fillers also help prevent the deterioration of existing collagen as well.
How Fast Does It Work?
You will see results gradually as natural collagen growth fills out the lines on your face. The final “look” will be apparent in a few weeks.
Which Wrinkles Do They Target?
They are designed to diminish or eliminate three areas:
1. The “Parentheses” or smile lines that run from the bottom of the nose to the corner of your mouth.
2. The “Marionette Lines” or vertical wrinkles, lines and folds that form below the corners of the mouth.
3. Vertical lip lines, wrinkles appearing above and around the lips.

Will They Make Me Look Unnatural?
No. Dermal fillers are considered one of the great cosmetic breakthroughs of the last 50 years. The collagen-stimulating gel contours itself around your existing facial structure, giving you a very natural look.
How To Make Sure You Don’t End Up Looking Like A Bad Experiment
Choose someone with lots of training, experience and an eye for beauty. Facial rejuvenation is as much art as science. For example, if you want to minimize the “Parentheses” (smile lines), you cannot just inject the filler into the naso-labial folds themselves, as many practitioners do. If you only treat the immediate area, it is like treating the symptom and not the problem. The “parentheses” form because the loss of volume in your upper cheeks causes the skin to fold over onto itself. If you do not treat the upper cheek, the procedure will not be as effective.
The guiding principle in all of our rejuvenation programs is, “Everyone will notice but no one will know.” We want people to say, “You look like you had a good night’s sleep,” not “Who’s your cosmetic surgeon?”

How Long Does It Last?
Most injections last up to a year or longer.
Does The Injection Hurt?
It is tolerable. We use a triple numbing cream on the face and then mix the filler itself with an anesthetic. Once, we had a patient who received such painful injections from a different provider he asked us for a squeeze ball! He could not believe the difference in our injections. He hardly felt them at all.
Does The Procedure Take Very Long?
Just a few minutes for the consultation and a few minutes for the injections. Depending on the extent of the areas you want to treat, we can have you in and out in about 15 minutes.
What Is The Recovery Time?
It is pretty much immediate. But avoid strenuous exercise, excessive heat, and alcohol for about 24 hours.
How Much Does It Cost?
We cannot give you an exact cost without a quick in-person consultation to determine your facial structure and the amount of filler you would need for the desired results. However, most treatments range between $700-$900.
Are There Side Effects?
Most people do not experience side effects, though some get redness, tenderness, itchiness or bumps at the injection site. None of these symptoms last more than a few days.
